Sledding

I have so much to share and am behind on updating on all the new things happening.  The best way to describe it as the kids have moved from babies to children.  It is fun!  The new adventure we went on today was sledding.

As a kid in Highland Park, Centennial Hill was the huge hill that everyone went sledding down.  My mom, dad, sister and I took the kids and surprisingly the slope was still big today!  They have steps built in to the hill, which makes climbing up 10 times much easier.

I could not believe how fast we flew down the hill.  Even more surprising was both kids LOVED it.  I'm not that surprised that Dylan did as he had no fear going down the huge water slides last summer at Key Lime Cove.  But Amber, she couldn't get enough.  Every time we got to the bottom, she immediately asked to go again!

Sullivans Island 2011

This was our 3rd year traveling to South Carolina to stay on the beach with Dan's parents, brother, sister-in-law and my niece and nephew.  I love the familiarity of going back to a place I've been before.  V

Each year the kid's are a little older, with more energy and less fears.

The cousin relationship is so special, one that I never had growing up as my cousins were all significantly older or younger than me.

Amber and Dylan are becoming much more comfortable in the water.

Dan and I get to spend quality time together without all the interuptions of work and day to day life.

We are lucky to create family memories year after year.
